The decline in Japan's industrial production for June was revised lower to 1.8% from a preliminary estimate of a 2.1% decrease, final data from the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.
Shipments edged up 0.3% in June from the previous month, while inventories were down 1.9%. Operating ratio decreased 2.2% in June from the previous month.
The original industrial production index declined 0.9% in June from a year earlier.
