Ahold Delhaize CFO to resign in April 2020

Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV CFO Jeffrey Carr has decided not to stand for reelection when his term expires in April 2020, the Dutch food retailer said Sept. 9.

Carr has been with Ahold Delhaize since 2011. He is also on the boards of British retailer Kingfisher PLC and Swedish wholesaler and retailer ICA AB.

Ahold Delhaize did not disclose the reason behind Carr's decision but said the company has already commenced the search for his successor.

"I respect Jeff's decision and wish him and his family all the best for the future," Ahold Delhaize President and CEO Frans Muller said in a statement.

Carr will continue working with Muller to help identify his successor and ensure a smooth transition, according to the release.
