Sandfire Resources updates mine plan for DeGrussa copper-gold mine

Sandfire Resources NL on May 30 updated the mine plan for the DeGrussa copper-gold mine in Western Australia, underpinning its mine life until 2021.

The updated mine plan, mineral resource and ore reserve includes the DeGrussa, Conductor 1, Conductor 4 and Conductor 5 lenses at DeGrussa as well as the 70%-owned Monty deposit.

The underground mine plan for DeGrussa and Monty now includes 7.0 million tonnes grading 5.1% copper and 1.6% gold for 359,000 tonnes of contained copper and 368,000 ounces of contained gold.

The 1.6 million-tonne-per-annum concentrator at DeGrussa will be fed from the mine at 1.2 to 1.3 mtpa from mid-2019.

The ore reserves for DeGrussa and Monty now stand at 9.5 million tonnes grading 3.9% copper and 1.4 g/t of gold for 372,000 tonnes of contained copper and 439,000 ounces of contained gold.

Mineral resources at DeGrussa and Monty now total 10.1 million tonnes grading 4.6% copper and 1.6 g/t of gold for 469,000 tonnes of contained copper and 539,000 ounces of contained gold.
