The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has granted Qualcomm Inc.'s request to pause a ruling on an antitrust case brought by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California had ruled that Qualcomm used its dominant market position to charge unreasonably high prices and hurt competitors in the wireless chip market.
The appeals court granted Qualcomm's request for a partial stay, pending appeal. It also ordered oral argument on the expedited appeal to be set in January 2020.
