Japan Exchange Group completes offer for Tokyo Commodity Exchange

Japan Exchange Group Inc. completed its acquisition of Tokyo Commodity Exchange Inc., with Tokyo Commodity Exchange set to become a consolidated subsidiary of Japan Exchange Group on Oct. 1.

Japan Exchange Group closed its offer for all common and nonvoting shares of Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Japan Exchange Group acquired 2,954,200 common shares of Tokyo Commodity Exchange at ¥487 per share and 76,833 nonvoting shares at ¥48,700 per nonvoting share.

Japan Exchange Group now has 97.15% stake in Tokyo Commodity Exchange.

As of Sept. 25, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.70.
