Riverstone unit sells NY, Maine biomass facilities stakes

ReEnergy Holdings LLC completed the transfer of its ownership stake held indirectly by Riverstone Holdings LLC to individual owners, according to an Aug. 16 filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

ReEnergy Holdings redeemed its interests from Riverstone for cash and transferred the stakes to individual owners as part of a deal in which private investors will acquire the remaining roughly 90% stake in ReEnergy. The individual owners previously owned less than a 10% stake in ReEnergy Holdings.

The deal was consummated Aug. 6. It includes the retired 19-MW Lyonsdale Energy and 32-MW Fort Fairfield Thermal Power biomass generation facilities and the 37-MW Ashland, 55-MW Black River, 36-MW Livermore Falls and 45-MW Stratton Energy biomass facilities. Lyonsdale and Black River are in New York, and the remaining power plants are in Maine. (FERC docket EC19-102)
