Dufry extends lease of Atrium store at Macau's Venetian hotel

Swiss travel retailer Dufry AG said Dec. 12 that it renewed a lease with Sands China Group for its Atrium store at The Venetian hotel in Macau.

Dufry, which will manage the store through 2024 as part of the contract, plans to revamp the entire store and expects the ongoing redevelopment work to finish by mid-2018.

The refurbished store will feature an improved layout with an increased focus on fragrance and cosmetics goods. Other categories such as fashion accessories, luxury products, and food and confectionery products will complement the two, Dufry said. It will also introduce to the store several new brands, including The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc.'s Jo Malone London, luxury clothing brand Tom Ford as well as Giorgio Armani.

Sands China is a unit of Las Vegas Sands Corp., which also owns the The Venetian.
