Career Point Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 2.02 Indian rupees per share, an increase of 37.6% from 1.47 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 36.4 million rupees, a gain of 36.8% from 26.6 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 17.9% from 16.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 22.1% year over year to 203.0 million rupees from 166.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses rose 6.4% on an annual basis to 165.6 million rupees from 155.7 million rupees.
Reported net income fell 60.0% from the prior-year period to 17.9 million rupees, or 99 paise per share, from 44.7 million rupees, or 2.46 rupees per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 62.03 Indian rupees.
