Nictus Holdings fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Nictus Holdings Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was 13 Namibian cents per share, an increase from 4 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 6.9 million dollars, an increase from 2.1 million dollars in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 67.6% year over year to 483.3 million dollars from 288.3 million dollars, and total operating expenses climbed 65.4% from the prior-year period to 482.0 million dollars from 291.4 million dollars.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 8.5 million dollars, or 16 cents per share, from 1.9 million dollars, or 4 cents per share.

As of Dec. 2, US$1 was equivalent to 11.08 Namibian dollars.
