Intel Corp.'s board unanimously voted to extend the term of its chairman, Andy Bryant, until next year to ensure continuity and smooth integration for new directors, the technology giant said.
If re-elected to the role in this year's annual stockholders' meeting, Bryant will continue to serve as chairman until the conclusion of the next meeting in 2019, according to Intel.
Bryant has held the post in May 2012.
Intel also announced that Risa Lavizzo-Mourey has joined its board. She is also a director at General Electric Co. and Hess Corp.
