Geberit profit misses consensus by 29.9% in Q3

Geberit AG said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to CHF2.91 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of CHF4.15 per share.

EPS climbed 21.4% year over year from CHF2.40.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF107.4 million, a gain of 20.3% from CHF89.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 15.5% from 13.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to CHF692.6 million from CHF665.1 million, and total operating expenses totaled CHF517.7 million, compared with CHF519.0 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income grew 27.4% from the prior-year period to CHF152.8 million, or CHF4.14 per share, from CHF119.9 million, or CHF3.22 per share.
