Topre fiscal Q4 profit climbs 34.5% YOY

Topre Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥52.17 per share, an increase of 28.2% from ¥40.70 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.74 billion, an increase of 34.5% from ¥2.04 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 7.7% from 7.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 21.5% year over year to ¥35.46 billion from ¥29.17 billion, and total operating expenses rose 20.4% year over year to ¥30.86 billion from ¥25.62 billion.

Reported net income rose 71.5% from the prior-year period to ¥3.29 billion, or ¥62.57 per share, from ¥1.92 billion, or ¥38.28 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥192.09 per share, a gain from ¥186.66 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥9.86 billion, a rise of 5.4% from ¥9.35 billion in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 8.0% year over year to ¥120.57 billion from ¥111.63 billion, and total operating expenses grew 9.4% on an annual basis to ¥107.26 billion from ¥98.02 billion.

The company said reported net income fell 10.6% on an annual basis to ¥10.35 billion, or ¥201.64 per share, in the full year, from ¥11.58 billion, or ¥231.16 per share.
