Adjusted net income attributable to the company was $189.6 million, or $2.00 per share, versus $176.0 million, or $1.80 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate for the period was $1.83.
Net revenue for the period totaled $2.64 billion, up from $2.48 billion in the same quarter of 2016.
Reported net income attributable to the company was $219.6 million, or $2.31 per share, as compared to $174.2 million, or $1.78 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The Pennsylvania-based company also saw a favorable net aggregate after-tax impact of $30 million, or 31 cents per share, in the fourth quarter.
Full-year results
Adjusted net income attributable to the company for the full year was $725.5 million, or $7.53 per share, compared with $720.2 million, or $7.32 per share, in 2016.

Net revenue for the full-year reached $10.41 billion, compared with $9.77 billion in 2016. Net income attributable to the company amounted to $752.3 million, or $7.81 per share, versus $702.4 million, or $7.14 per share, a year ago.
