Paramount Television gets new president

Paramount Television named Nicole Clemens president of the company, Deadline reported.

Clemens, who was most recently a manager and producer at Anonymous Content L.L.C., will report to Paramount Pictures Corp. Chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos.

Paramount Television fired former President Amy Powell in July after the executive allegedly made some racially charged remarks during a studio notes call for the network's reboot of "The First Wives Club," leaving the position vacant until Clemens' appointment.

Paramount is a unit of Viacom Inc.
