Sonnedix acquires 53 MW of solar projects in Italy

Independent solar power producer Sonnedix Italia Srl acquired 28 solar photovoltaic facilities with a combined capacity of 53 MW from Italian energy company Graziella Green Power SpA.

Under a preliminary sale and purchase agreement signed in December 2018, Sonnedix may acquire an additional 2-MW plant in early 2019.

The photovoltaic projects comprises of ground and roof-mounted solar panels in the Toscana, Umbria, Sardegna and Basilicata regions of Italy. The deal raises the Sonnedix's operating capacity in Italy to 181 MW.

Orrick, Duff & Phelps REAG, RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla and ICS advised Sonnedix for the transaction. Sonnedix is majority-owned by institutional investors advised by JP Morgan Asset Management.
