Thakral Q3 loss narrows YOY

Thakral Corp. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of S$135,500, compared with a loss of S$731,630 in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin rose to negative 0.4% from negative 0.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 60.8% on an annual basis to S$36.1 million from S$91.9 million, and total operating expenses decreased 63.5% from the prior-year period to S$33.2 million from S$90.8 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of S$598,000, or a loss of 0 cents per share, compared to a loss of S$732,000, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 2, US$1 was equivalent to S$1.38.
