CKH Food & Health fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

CKH Food & Health Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30 amounted to 89.02 South Korean won per share, a decline of 50.0% from 178.15 won per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.04 billion won, a decrease of 46.3% from 14.97 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 12.1% from 18.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 17.0% year over year to 66.20 billion won from 79.77 billion won, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 54.94 billion won from 55.65 billion won.

Reported net income decreased 48.4% year over year to 9.09 billion won, or 100.71 won per share, from 17.63 billion won, or 209.70 won per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 444.56 won per share, a fall of 32.4% from 657.75 won per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 44.88 billion won, a fall of 28.0% from 62.34 billion won in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue declined 6.4% from the prior-year period to 297.60 billion won from 317.90 billion won, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to 227.10 billion won from 217.08 billion won.

The company said reported net income decreased 28.7% on an annual basis to 52.40 billion won, or 519.00 won per share, in the full year, from 73.45 billion won, or 775.00 won per share.

As of Oct. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 1,147.49 South Korean won.
