Anadarko Petroleum grosses $1.10 billion from debt offering

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. raised gross proceeds of $1.10 billion from an offering of 6.60% senior subordinated unsecured notes due March 15, 2046.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital and redemption or repayment of debt securities.

Barclays Capital Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., Mizuho Securities USA LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC were the lead underwriters.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, DNB Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., SG Americas Securities LLC, SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc., Standard Chartered Bank New York, Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd. and UBS Securities LLC also served as underwriters for the offering.
