PetroChina's H1'19 net profit ticks higher on year

Integrated oil and gas company PetroChina Company Ltd. on Aug. 29 reported a first half profit attributable to company shareholders of 29.18 billion Chinese yuan, up from the 24.26 billion yuan noted during the first half of 2018.

The China National Petroleum Corp. subsidiary's first half revenues came in at 1.196 trillion yuan compared to 1.120 trillion yuan for the corresponding period a year ago.

The company produced 779.4 million barrels of oil equivalent during the first half, 5.9% higher than the 736.3 million boe reported during the first half of 2018.

PetroChina processed 597.4 million barrels of crude oil in the first half, up 3.1% from 579.6 million bbl a year ago.

As of Aug. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 7.16 Chinese yuan.
