Ya-Man Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 31 amounted to a loss of 55 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of 86 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥31.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥50.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 1.1% from negative 1.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥2.82 billion from ¥2.96 billion, and total operating expenses fell 6.8% from the prior-year period to ¥2.82 billion from ¥3.02 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥35.0 million, or a loss of 60 sen per share, compared to a loss of ¥52.0 million, or a loss of 89 sen per share, in the year-earlier period.
