Maruichi fiscal Q3 profit climbs 20.7% YOY

Maruichi Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥24.97 per share, a gain of 20.7% from ¥20.68 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥575.6 million, an increase of 20.7% from ¥476.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.2% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥49.15 billion from ¥47.80 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to ¥48.30 billion from ¥47.11 billion.

Reported net income increased 21.0% on an annual basis to ¥594.0 million, or ¥25.77 per share, from ¥491.0 million, or ¥21.30 per share.
