Swiss fund manager carries out 1st blockchain-based secondary ILS trade

Switzerland-based insurance-linked securities fund manager Solidum Partners AG said it concluded the first blockchain-based secondary security trade involving asset-backed securities of a reinsurance agreement providing protection against hurricane losses issued by Guernsey-based Dom Re IC Ltd.

The notes are due 2023 with principal at risk of $14.8 million.

The trade was carried out in a matter of minutes, Solidum said.
