South Korea's BNK Financial to inject 200B won into brokerage unit

South Korea's BNK Financial Group Inc. will inject 200 billion won into BNK Securities Co. Ltd. as part of a business growth strategy for the unit.

As part of the plan, the group will purchase 4 million shares of BNK Securities. The transaction will take effect March 5, according to a filing.

BNK Securities reported net income of 1.9 billion won in 2017, down from 9.4 billion won in 2016, according to the filing.

As of Feb. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 1,082.07 South Korean won.
