Greencoat Renewables to acquire 20-MW Irish wind farm

Renewable infrastructure company Greencoat Renewables PLC has agreed to acquire the 20-MW Gortahile wind facility in Ireland from Glennmont Partners.

The wind farm hosts eight Nordex SE N90 turbines and increases Greencoat's production capacity to 431 MW, the company said in a Sept. 12 filing to the London Stock Exchange. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Greencoat plans to fund the acquisition with its €380 million credit facility, according to a report from Renewables Now. The deal is expected to close on Sept. 18.

The facility's revenues are contracted under the REFIT 1 scheme. Nordex will provide operations and maintenance services under a contract.
