Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin increased to negative 2.8% from negative 5.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to $10.0 million from $10.4 million, and total operating expenses decreased 10.2% on an annual basis to $10.1 million from $11.3 million.
Reported net income came to a loss of $456,000, or a loss of 3 cents per share, compared to a loss of $839,000, or a loss of 6 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
