Pernod Ricard SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2016, came to €3.09 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €3.57 per share.
EPS rose 9.8% year over year from €2.81.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €820.0 million, an increase of 9.7% from €747.5 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to €5.06 billion from €4.96 billion, and total operating expenses came to €3.54 billion, compared with €3.54 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income rose year over year to €913.1 million, or €3.44 per share, from €884.5 million, or €3.33 per share.
