Haruyama Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was a loss of ¥25.41 per share, compared with a loss of ¥9.54 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥412.5 million, compared with a loss of ¥154.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 5.0% from negative 1.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to ¥8.26 billion from ¥8.41 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥9.00 billion from ¥8.68 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥494.0 million, or a loss of ¥30.43 per share, compared to a loss of ¥258.0 million, or a loss of ¥15.94 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
