Polish utility PGE reports YOY surge in EBITDA for H1'19

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA reported EBITDA of 4.40 billion Polish zlotys for the first half of 2019, up from 3.70 billion zlotys recorded in the corresponding period of 2018.

Net profit for half was 1.77 billion zlotys, compared to 1.30 billion zlotys in the comparable period of 2018, according to a Sept. 25 release.

Operating profit was 2.45 billion zlotys, compared with operating profit of 1.86 billion zlotys for the period ending June 30, 2018.

Total sales revenue jumped to 18.24 billion zlotys, compared to 12.87 billion zlotys reported in the first half of 2018.

As of Sept. 24, US$1 was equivalent to 3.98 Polish zlotys.
