The U.S. International Trade Commission has barred Comcast Corp. from importing certain digital video receivers and certain hardware and software in relation to the infringement of TiVo Corp.'s patents.
In a Nov. 21 filing, the ITC also issued cease and desist orders and denied a petition to reconsider the findings. The investigation has now been closed.
An administrative law judge of the ITC in May ruled that Comcast, along with other respondents, violated two of TiVo's patents.
