Carlyle wraps up Accolade Wines acquisition

Carlyle Group LP closed on its buyout of Australian wine company Accolade Wines.

Accolade Wines has a portfolio of more than 50 brands and operates in 20 of Australia's premium wine regions across Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Its wine labels include Hardys, Grant Burge, St Hallett, Petaluma and Arras.

Carlyle managing director David Bluff said in a release that the private equity firm will work with Accolade's management to support the company's growth in Asia and business development.

Carlyle Asia Partners IV LP provided equity for the transaction.
