GSI Creos Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥43.50 per share, a gain of 69.0% from ¥25.75 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥279.4 million, an increase of 68.9% from ¥165.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.6% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 5.7% year over year to ¥44.55 billion from ¥42.15 billion, and total operating expenses increased 5.2% on an annual basis to ¥44.06 billion from ¥41.88 billion.
Reported net income rose 53.2% on an annual basis to ¥334.0 million, or ¥52.00 per share, from ¥218.0 million, or ¥33.94 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥98.28 per share, a decrease of 26.3% from ¥133.27 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥631.3 million, a decrease of 26.3% from ¥856.3 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue declined year over year to ¥154.44 billion from ¥158.50 billion, and total operating expenses fell year over year to ¥153.27 billion from ¥156.87 billion.
The company said reported net income decreased 45.0% year over year to ¥563.0 million, or ¥87.65 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.02 billion, or ¥159.38 per share.
