Argentina appoints 2 directors at state-run Banco de la Nación

Argentina's government has appointed Mariana Haydee Triaca and Diego Gustavo Dequino as directors at state-run Banco de la Nación Argentina, according to official decrees published Dec. 5.

Triaca has been serving as an advisor to the bank's board since 2016 and is the sister of Argentina's minister of labor, employment and social security, according to a report in La Nación.

Dequino is an economist and a former secretary of economy and finance for the Argentine municipality of Córdoba, Infobae reported.

The appointments follow the departure in October of three Banco de la Nación directors, with two of them reportedly leaving due to professional disagreements with the bank's president.
