Statkraft starts operations at 255.6-MW wind farm in Norway

Statkraft AS has achieved full operations at the 255.6-MW Roan wind farm in Fosen, Norway, according to a May 22 news release.

Roan, touted as the largest wind farm in Norway, is the first of the six wind farms in the Fosen development. The completion of the Fosen development will result to an onshore wind facility with a total installed capacity of 1,057 MW.

Statkraft is responsible for the construction on behalf of Fosen Vind DA. Stakraft owns the majority interest at Vosen Vind at 52.1%, with Nordic Wind Power and TrønderEnergi AS owning 40% and 7.9%, respectively.
