Bank of China eyes entering Greece

Bank of China Ltd. plans to enter Greece by opening a branch, Reuters reported, citing Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.

Dendias, who recently met with the bank's head of European operations, Zhou Li Hong, said the executive told him that the branch could be launched by 2019-end, according to the Aug. 22 report.

The bank already has operations in the U.K., Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Hungary, Portugal and Germany. It also obtained approval from regulators in other territories, including Argentina and Peru.
