Dominion Energy names two COOs

Dominion Energy Inc. on Oct. 2 announced two executives will serve in the roles of executive vice president and co-COO, beginning Dec. 1.

The executives are Robert Blue, currently executive vice president, president and CEO of Dominion's power delivery group and Diane Leopold, currently executive vice president, president and CEO of the company's gas infrastructure group. Blue will also serve as president of Dominion Energy Virginia, known legally as Virginia Electric and Power Co..

Dominion Energy Virginia and the contracted generation business, which includes the Millstone power plant and more than 50 long-term contracted solar facilities, will report to Blue.

Leopold will be responsible for three operating segments: Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc.; gas distribution, which has four gas local distribution companies in Idaho, North Carolina, Ohio, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming; and gas transmission and storage, consisting of 14,800 miles of natural gas transmission and the Cove Point LNG facility.

Carter Reid, currently executive vice president and chief administrative and compliance officer, will become executive vice president and chief of staff for Dominion Energy, and president of Dominion Energy Services.

Blue, Leopold and Reid, along with James Chapman, executive vice president, CFO and treasurer, will continue to report to Thomas Farrell II, the chairman, president and CEO of Dominion Energy.
