Orminex Ltd.'s underground contractor, GBF Mining Pty. Ltd., has started mining at its Comet Vale gold project in Western Australia, according to a May 15 news release.
GBF has started work on a decline as part of a 27-month mine plan for Comet Vale.
In early May, GBF secured an agreement with a subsidiary of Maximus Resources Ltd. to process Comet Vale ore at the latter's Burbanks plant about 150 kilometers away.
Orminex, previously known as Mintails Ltd., recently resumed trading on the ASX.
Comet Vale is estimated to host a combined JORC 2012-compliant indicated and inferred mineral resource of about 750,000 tonnes at 8.4 g/t gold for 203,100 contained ounces.
