Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 12.15 taka per share, an increase of 11.7% from 10.87 taka per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 57.4 million taka, a gain of 11.7% from 51.4 million taka in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 8.0% from 8.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 12.8% year over year to 721.8 million taka from 640.1 million taka, and total operating expenses climbed 12.0% year over year to 637.3 million taka from 569.2 million taka.
Reported net income increased year over year to 56.5 million taka, or 11.95 taka per share, from 54.8 million taka, or 11.60 taka per share.
