State Bank of India gets board's nod to sell stake in general insurance arm

State Bank of India's board has approved the lender's planned divestment of up to 4% of its stake in SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd. to a nonpromoter entity.

The divestment will be carried out through small parcel share sale.
