Washington Federal posts fiscal Q1'19 net income of $52.9M

Washington Federal Inc. on Jan. 14 posted net income of $52.9 million, or 65 cents per share, for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2018, compared to net income of $51.7 million, or 59 cents per share, in the same quarter of 2017.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus estimate for GAAP EPS for the quarter was 61 cents.

Total assets were $16.2 billion as of Dec. 31, 2018, compared to $15.9 billion as of Sept. 30, 2018, the Seattle-based company's fiscal year-end.
