Huw van Steenis has left Schroders Plc after serving as global head of strategy since the fourth quarter of 2016, a spokeswoman told Financial News.
The financial analyst left the company late in 2017, the Feb. 7 report said, citing "people familiar with the matter." Another source said the change of pace between investment banking and asset management was one of the reasons for Van Steenis' departure.
Van Steenis joined Schroders from Morgan Stanley, where he was a managing director and global coordinator for banks and diversified financials research.
He was one of a number of analysts who moved from the banking sector to the asset management industry before European trading rules known as MiFID II were introduced, Financial News noted, adding that Van Steenis is believed to have a new job lined up.
