Electric-vehicle drivers dealing with range anxiety can now use Google Maps to find information on the nearest charging station.
The Alphabet Inc.-owned company announced that users can type in keywords such as "ev charging" or "ev charging stations" to see the nearest power-up spots.
Google Maps will also offer information about the types of charging ports at the location, number of ports and charging speeds, according to a news release.
Users can also add photos, reviews and questions about the charging-station locations, and businesses that have stations can feature a link to related information.
Google Maps will show global users information about Tesla Inc. and Chargepoint stations. Users in the United States will also see stations from SemaConnect, EVgo and Blink. In the United Kingdom, users will see Chargemaster and Pod Point stations, and drivers in Australia and New Zealand will see Chargefox stations, the release said.
