Deco-Mica Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 33 Indian paise per share, a decline of 43.2% from 58 paise per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.4 million rupees, a decline of 42.9% from 2.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 1.1% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 14.4% year over year to 124.6 million rupees from 108.9 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 15.8% year over year to 119.5 million rupees from 103.2 million rupees.
Reported net income decreased 18.5% from the prior-year period to 2.0 million rupees, or 47 paise per share, from 2.4 million rupees, or 58 paise per share.
As of Nov. 17, US$1 was equivalent to 61.80 Indian rupees.
