NVIDIA Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended July 26 came to 21 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 20 cents per share.
EPS rose 22.6% year over year from 17 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $115.6 million, an increase of 19.4% from $96.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 8.7% from 8.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to $1.15 billion from $1.10 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to $964.0 million from $940.0 million.
Reported net income declined 77.9% on an annual basis to $27.8 million, or 5 cents per share, from $125.6 million, or 22 cents per share.
