Optiv Security and KKR finalize deal

KKR & Co. LP completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Optiv Security.

The agreement is a way for Optiv to accelerate its service and solutions capabilities, as well as its expansion internationally and in the U.S., the companies said in a press release.

KKR made the investment from its 11th Americas Private Equity investment fund.

Optiv management and a Blackstone Group LP-owned private equity fund will maintain minority interests in Optiv.

Goldman Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC were financial advisers to Optiv. Kirkland & Ellis LLP was KKR's legal adviser, and Jefferies LLC was its financial advisers. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal advisers to Optiv and Blackstone.
