Apple Inc. reached out to music companies about potentially bundling Apple Music with Apple TV+ into a subscription package, London's Financial Times reported, citing sources.
Talks are still in its early stage and the parties have not discussed a pricing formula for the planned bundle.
Some recording labels are receptive to the idea, but one company expressed concerns about Apple's history of strong arming labels into selling songs for 99 cents on iTunes.
Apple Music, which launched in 2015, reached over 60 million subscribers as of end of June. Apple TV+, which is set to debut Nov. 1, will cost $4.99 per month.
