Insurance moves: American National Insurance, FM Global name directors

American National Insurance Co. appointed Irwin Herz Jr. and E. Douglas McLeod directors as it increased its board size to 10 from eight members.

McLeod will be an independent director.

Property and casualty

Willis Towers Watson PLC hired Richard McEvoy as U.S. delegated integrated solutions lead.

Based in New York, McEvoy will be in charge of the development of delegated investment value propositions for integrated client solutions across investment and actuarial services. He will also serve as the strategic investment adviser to large pension plan sponsors.

McEvoy joins from Mercer, where he most recently led its financial strategy group.


FM Global elected David Walton to its board.

Walton is president and CEO of Caterpillar Financial Services Corp., the financial products division of Caterpillar Inc.


Government Employees Insurance Co.'s board named John Alutto, Mindy Seibold and Jason Andrukonis assistant vice presidents of underwriting.

Alutto will lead GEICO's Tucson, Ariz., regional underwriting operations. He previously held sales and service leadership positions at its Virginia Beach, Va., office. Seibold will take charge of the company's Virginia Beach regional office, and she previously served as director of business transformation and systems implementation. Andrukonis will lead the company's Dallas regional operations and he was service director at its Buffalo, N.Y., office.

Additionally, GEICO tapped Jared Lanza to head its competitive advantage leadership group from its corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md. He previously served as its director of corporate planning and control.
