Tanner Servicios Financieros SA plans to invest between $5 million and $10 million in technology per year as it looks to become the largest financial technology firm in Chile, Diario Financiero reported, citing CEO Antonio Turner.
"We are in the process of a digital transformation," Turner said in an interview with the publication. "My goal is for the company to become a fintech. I want [us] to be the largest fintech in Chile and hopefully in Latin America."
In addition, Turner said the company sees an opportunity to offer alternative assets through its fund manager amid changes in the investment regulations of AFP pension funds.
In the factoring segment, the company aims to grow above the market, which would be between 7% and 8% this year, Turner said.
Tanner Servicios Financieros is Chile's largest nonbank financial institution, with a focus on four primary business lines: domestic factoring, international factoring, auto financing and leasing.
