Canadian bottled water delivery company Cott Corp. and its wholly owned subsidiary Eden Springs, has acquired Clearwater Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság, according to a Jan. 9 release.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Clearwater is a Hungary-based sparkling water producer.
Cott said the acquisition will help Eden Springs boost its position in the country with the addition of 14,000 machines on location, plus intellectual property for a carbonation technology patent that will provide customers with carbonated water through water filtration dispensers and bottled water coolers. Eden Springs said it will introduce Clearwater's carbonation technology to other markets.
