Lower-middle-market private equity firm DFW Capital Partners Inc. acquired The Vertex Group, which provides customer information system services to the utility industry.

The acquisition will support Vertex's growth plans through market expansion and growth of its existing solution suite, the company said Aug. 1. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Teaneck, N.J.-based DFW focuses on businesses in the healthcare, business services and industrial services industries.
