The U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division has closed an investigation into MDC Partners Inc.'s subsidiary agency without bringing any charges against the company or its subsidiary.
The DOJ sent a subpoena to one of MDC Partners' subsidiary agencies in 2016 regarding production bidding practices in the advertising industry. The agency has returned all documents presented by the company and its subsidiary, according to a Nov. 13 SEC filing.
In a similar move, the DOJ closed an investigation into Omnicom Group Inc. subsidiaries without taking any action. The probe reportedly sought to determine whether the companies inappropriately secured contracts for their in-house production divisions.
MDC Partners is a marketing and communications network.
